Fed up in the rain. They are now turning up around here.

Feeding on the road side, most of them are escapees from aviaries.

A season of good will and peace!!

It is looking very relaxed yo me. They are on the increase.

Originally aviary birds, the escapees seem to be doing well now.

They seem to love being close to each other.

Looks like they are getting established in the Te Awanga area

Most of these doves were originally reared in aviaries but now are doing well in the wild.

These doves started off in peoples aviarys and are now living in the wild around parts of Hawke's Bay.

This little fellow I caught sitting on this fence post and took little notice of me.

Pretty poor for birds recently at Te Awanga but this Dove landed near me, so I had to take its photo.

These little doves have escaped from aviaries and have taken up living in the wild in Hawke's Bay. But they do suffer from being killed by domestic cats.
