as you can probably i forgot all about the fox and continued my focus on the barnie :)

don't know who was more shocked me or the barn owl i had my camera focused on a fox hunting in long grass when out of the corner of my eye i saw this stunner so a quick focus adjustment and click i couldn't believe my luck :)

I have not done much photography recently but accepted an invitation from Ivan Ellison to do Barn Owls near the coast. It was an enjoyable day but a little cold and my feet ain't upto standing like they used to be. Downed a gallon of coffee though:)

I had to come back a second day to get an acceptable photo of this perching male. The first day I found it, sleeping in a recessed area of a tall palm, it had its back to the outside and all I could see was a splash of brown feathers in the drabber surroundings of the palm fronds.
