Before I launch myself into taking a whole new set of abstract shots I found this one that I'd hitherto forgotten about from last year. Hope it meets with you're approval guys!

Did not realize I had managed a shot as close as this one.This is a recent arrival of a group of Swallows who each year return to nest on our local Industrial Estate(old Tannery buildings).
Here it goes something I was dying to share but the flood of duties and activities I'm having in the last weeks keep me away from here persistently, sniff, :-C!!!
I suppose I should have frozen the wings, and avoided having vegetation coming out of the water in the frame but that's asking me...
This pair have wasted no time,spotted this female carrying mud to her nesting area in the old outhouse.The male seems to sit around outside on sentry duty,whils,t she does all the work.but then he keeps her in food when she is sitting on her eggs.
So exciting.One of these birds arrived 3 days ago,and late last night her partner arrived.All the way from Africa to an old lady's coal house in our back alley.This pair nest here every year and quite often have 3 broods.They are just little miracles.
Try as I may, this nearly two year old photo is the best I have of a barn swallow in flight.
It is just so difficult to get a good shot of an in flight barn swallow.

Just remembered I took a couple of Swallow shots a couple of weeks ago.This is one of the adults who visit our back alley every year.They have now left the area,but I have still seen many birds around the farms.So sad to see them depart on their long hazardous journey.
