I like the Norwegian name for these: Hvitkinngs - White-cheeked Geese. Much better than Barnacles. I've never seen one with barnacles :eek!:

'Fraid I took quite a few shots of the barnacle geese. Also, they didn't spook easily, stayed quite close, and it was a sunny day, so a lot of them came out well. I'll try to intersperse one or two shots among shots of other birds when I post. Hope you enjoy them and don't get bored.

Well nobody seems to like my barnacle goose photos much but I do so heres another one!

Capturing dense flocks of geese in the air is easy enough but as they begin to land the ranks break up and spread out and chaos begins. I was after a shot that showed the chaos in some way but which still retained a good focus on all the birds. This is one of my favourites.
