    I didn't think I'd ever hear one of these guys hooting and hollering in the middle of the day, but thank goodness he kept it up or I'd have *never* spotted him!

    She has been very helpful for our pond which was overrun with muskrats last year. I removed 15 of them last year. Very destructive. Nature has a way of balancing things out, and I believe she is here because of the abundance of prey.

    Went out hoping to photograph an owl before all the leaves have fallen. Switched my days off at work and it worked perfectly after coming upon this owl near my home in southern Ontario.

    This barred owl and family are still in the same area as before and still very comfortable to have people around. I visit every week or so to check but try not to bother them too much.

    Once again I found this owl. I followed the sound of the other birds harrassing this raptor. After watching for a while I realized why the other birds were so concerned as this owl sat quietly for about 10-15 minutes then flew into a blackberry bush and tunnelled in to emerge with a baby bird...
