2 archive shots today. We've had some very dull weather recently and I haven't had a lot of spare time. The last picture I posted from this session was my wife's choice. This is mine.

A very misty start to this morning but what a ray of sunshine when a very accomodating flock of Bearded Tit present themselves.

As I had hoped all the young birds had moulted into adult plumage. Great opportunities but I missed a lot more than I succeeded with.

Off to Lake Tkern again on Saturday morning. All the juvenile Bearded Tits should have adult plumage by now.

We had a great time at Lake Tkern and I took an awful lot of pictures, mostly of young Bearded Tits. No more longer trips planned as I start work on 1st August but a couple of day trips.

Off to celebrate midsummer with friends tomorrow morning. Back in a few days.

Had a spot of luck with this sequence.

Just when I was able take decent pictures of male Bearded Tits for the first time I started to think the females were really very pretty. :-) There seemed to be fewer of them but I did find some that were prepared to cooperate.

Had a lot of fun with the Bearded Tits at Lake Tkern especially as all the young males had moulted into adult plumage. It was frustrating at times though. They seemed to be daring one another to fly across the path without being photographed. They were very noisy and excitable at times. I have...

Next time we visited Tkern all the young males had moulted into adult plumage much to my delight.

Had a great time at Lake Tkern and the weather was good too. Took lots of new pictures of Bearded Tits but this is an old one.
