Mostly it was too breezy for these to reach the tops of the reeds, but late afternoon on my first day there, in pretty poor light, a pair made themselves visible. Which was nice!
A theme of reed dwellers today.
Arguably one of the most attractive birds here and I'm hoping to see some more if I can get back over to Norfolk in the next couple of weeks or so.
The marsh harriers didn't perform, but they were instantly forgotten when a pair of these wonderful birds bobbed along the reeds in front of me. A new one for me too.
