The green bee-eater (sometimes little green bee-eater) is a near passerine bird in the bee-eater family. It is resident but prone to seasonal movements and is found widely distributed across sub-Saharan Africa from Senegal and the Gambia to Ethiopia, the Nile valley, western Arabia and Asia...

....... i.e., The season of love-suit has arrived at.......and the season dominates !!!........winter season is almost over......and summers are at the door-step.....their breeding season is on.....so, this is the time for them, to reproduce......and they are active again.......visible...

It caught the bee mid air with some real acrobatics a Sukhoi-30 would dream of. Now it is time to remove the sting by thrashing it on the branch. Then couple of toss in air and meal is ready..... It is not easy job to be a bee eater!

Decided on this for the competition, as It was a one off rarity and lifer for me, and also many others who turned up to view it.
