Late to this thread as well but seems there are still some recent conversations. I rescued a barn swallow from a barn I work at on August 1st. He was thrown out of the nest and never taken back by mama bird.
I brought him home, my husband and I basically rehabilitated him and...
Good morning. Can anyone help identify this bird? The photo isn't that good but it has black on each breast with a grey line going down the middle. I have looked and cannot identify it to save my life. Unless it is molting which it could also be.
