After near torrential rains followed by a day of gale force winds, the sun finally came out with a fresh breeze, this lone gull (some miles inland) gave a stunning performance of aerial acrobatics.
Meanwhile, the Blackback ate his fill. And since Blackbacks are famously "bottomless pits", he probably left only the bones for the Raven.
If this image weren't so morbid, this tale would have been my Saturday fun contribution this week.
On my way home, I walked downriver all the way to town, then up the hill home. This Black-backed Gull was standing on a rock just below the highway bridge. That's further from the fjord than I'd seen one before.
Today's theme is long zooms in poor light, something we have to deal with from October through February :S But looking on the bright side, we do get looooong days of light on the summer side of the equinoxes |=)|
