Hi, this was taken today in very atrocious conditions, it was around 7.00 pm, it was just getting dark, it was wet, and raining, the bird was wet with little droplets of water on his feathers. Light from the flash unit was bouncing all over the place from the water droplets ..... something...

It was another great day for us when we discovered that this rare winter visitor was to be found in our nature reserve... A number of us was perched on a narrow boardwalk, saved only by the wooden railings from falling over into the reservoir... Flash guns were working flat out .... Cheers
