That's is the local name - A bird with two tails. A smart bird which is always busy flying about catching insects. A lovely bird to watch as it makes flying look effortless and elegant.
Was out in the fields for birding when I saw this Black Drongo. In a bit it flew across and sat briefly on this jawar crop, giving me a nice pose. Just managed to get a shot of him before he took off.
Black Drongo,(Dicrurus macrocercus) was previously considered as a sub-species of "Fork tailed Drongo" of Africa, now considered as a full species, is a common resident breeder in India & most of the part of tropical South Asia.

Perched on a garden decor, the Drongo is either on the lookout for bugs or is busy mobbing bigger Birds. Serious in demeanor, Drongos wear their attitudes on the sleeve
