I had snapped several close up shots of the gull before I realized what a beautiful shot it would make with the Temple in the background. Backed the zoom from 400 to 100 and here you are!
Not quite true. I also sae Mute Swan, Canada Goose, Egyptian Goose, Tufted Duck, Black-tailed Godwit, Spotted Redshank, Ringed Plover, Pigeon, Marsh Harrier, Swallow, Magpie, Jay, Reed Warbler, Wheatear, Meadow Pipit, Goldfinch and Reed Bunting. But these were the only reasonable pictures.
Three from Slimbridge to bring us up to September.
First, a final shot of the poor BHG who had come off worst with some Woodpigeons. I have not seen this bird again so I don't know if it survived the experience.
Steve Seal let me use his camera for this....cheers Steve:)
I was having a go at taking photos of this BH Gull. I am fond of Gulls and love watching them. I was lucky to capture this gull stretching his wings.
Black Headed Gull at Shustoke Reservoir, Steve Seal let me borrow his camera, whilst we all waited for a juv Black Necked Grebe to show again....cheers Steve :)
I expect this comes near the top of the list for number of my Gallery entries but they are great birds, easy to photograph.
They were easier to describe in the good days when they were Larus!
They are all lined up in the hopes of some food. When approached too closely they fly off, circle, and come straight back down on to this fence, all facing the same way.
