Picking up on something Nigel Blake wrote today about photographing black headed gulls at Salthouse - any bird that's as handsome as this one surely deserves our attention.

A Black Headed Gull seeming to have to tread carefully across the shingle.

This gull was limbering up early yesterday morning before the mist had cleared.

You can always find good birds to photograph at the CWP. It's one of my favourite local sites.

Another Gull from Cotswold Water Park

I know these are very common and easy to photograph, but i really liked the pose and the texture of the water.

Try to make this the last of the gull shots from last weekend. I'll try to find something else to shoot!

Spent a pleasant hour with the black headed gulls in the local park this evening.

Not actually going anywhere. One or two gulls occasionally seemd to invade each other's personal space. A quick jump and flight adjusted the space allocations.
