The next day my sister wanted more fish, so it was back to Brancaster and, of course, a stop to look over the salt marsh again. These gulls are always ready to pose for you aren't they. He was quite a distance off though. The wind had dropped a little but still pretty breezy!!

Looking over the salt marsh now and this gull doesn't seem that enamoured of the sticky mud all around him, does he. But he was obviously posing wanting his picture taken LOL.

This image of a black-headed ( mouette rieuse in French =laughing gull) makes me smile. It seems to be shouting " Vivent les vacances" , something most French pupils and teachers will say tomorrow night when they break up for the summer holidays.

I'm not going to be able to stay awake until posting time tomorrow night. Barely able tonight and tomorrow's a longer hike. Hiking is going well, and tomorrow we're even promised better weather. Today's bird highlight was a grey wagtail. But too tired to edit now, so I'll continue catching up on...
