These 10days rain has been a constent source of blue's for me..lol..no birding..had a bit of time on sunday..but rain again stopped my birding.So to-day..even tho there was a little drizzle and cloudy..i went birding to my patch..the pond was full up to the brim..saw a couple of Common Moor...
Though this species is very common, somehow they are very sensitive to the presence of people around. Can hardly move close enough to get a good shot. Incidentally, while waiting for the appearance of the Lineated Barbet, this guy came along and landed not far away from me to take a decent shot...
To photography this bird has been difficult-they are so canny that they can see you far off or if you are close they hide behind branches.Beautiful bird.This bird is a resident just across the road from my practice where 18yrs ago i planted 7trees around the playing field so that school children...
Black-naped Oriole.Male is brilliant yellow with black mask through the eyes and meeting at the nape,black wings,black tail with yellow tips:bill pinkish-orange.Call a melodious four-notes whistle,-What the Devil with much individual variation.Female duller.Mangroves,scrubs and gardens.
