Hi Peeps, Well its early post and run for me this morning. I have to be up the hospital for my scan at 8-30 this morning, so have to pack the lappy away. We are travelling to Lakenheath when I get done, so hopefully see yall when we get there later today.

This is a full frame shot and to the best of my knowledge taken with a 2X (non reporting) converter @ 1/60th Sec.man focus and exposure. I do not know if I used a cable release for this particular shot but given the other shots came out soft I guess I must have done.

I spent several days photographing black redstarts and on the last day offered my camera/lens bag as a perch. This juvenile was more than happy to perch on it. Of course I was over the moon.

I'm afraid you might get swamped with these.

Although common to mainland Europe this is one of our rarest breeding species and this male is perhaps the only male to breed in the North of England.

Went to Dungy yesterday, weather was OK, but never got a decent shot of a bird all day. Did see a female Sprawk and Bittern, both in the air, and both distant. Got a couple of record shots of the Great White Egret showing well from the Denge Marsh hide. It was really nice walking around in the...
