Really pleased to see this guy back again this year and looking for a mate.Keeping my fingers crossed!

Couldn't find a male last year but wasnt disappointed yesterday, there were 2, this handsome chap and one that wasn't quite so strongly marked so assume its was a first year male

Although the light wasn't great I did have a great morning at Sizewell with about 4-5 Black Redstarts, 2 males and possibly 3 females, and run in to Spock so a double bonus.

Hi Peeps, Had a nice few hours yesterday at Cley, Norfolk, in not too bad weather. We also bumped into BFs Lovejoy and Rosefinch while we were looking for the Shore Larks. Off to Titchwell again today, so see yall later.

After adding a dash of colour to preceedings with my last photo, I thought I'd continue the theme with one from last spring, when I attended a wedding in Poland. It was in a rural location so I was able to sneak off with my camera whilst everyone else was eating and drinking too much.. black...

Back to Masafi Wadi for the day. A little quieter than last week.

This Black Redstart has been in my local area for sometime, after many attempts to see & get a shot of it, yesterday was the day.

Many thanks to all who've looked and commented on this mini series of winter birds in the Algarve. The purpose of it being to show how good birding and photography can be there and perhaps encourage a few people to make a visit.

Always love to see these, they don't have a lot of colours but still look colourful.
