A few of these about on the Norfolk coast, but not as many as we have seen other years.

The Goddy on the left actually had only the one leg.

I'm told by the locals, that these birds are Bar-tailed Godwits, as opposed to the Black-tailed Godwits we see in our part of the country. Guess the Devon birders are not as knowledgeable as some of our BF members, so I have changed this to Black-tailed Godwit.

Well Peeps, Its back to Hastings in a while, four trains and five plus hours later we should be home. That effort alone deserves a couple of brews, so see y'all later tonight.

Well Peeps, The weather stopped me from getting out yesterday, and looks like its going to do the same today. Very wet here, so its three more from last June for y'all today.

Watching two black-tailed godwits foraging on the beach, I was struck by the unhurried , confident way they walked about, as if they owned the place.
