    The overwintering Black-throated Thrush at Whipsnade Zoo is showing well during it's daily feeding routine. Feeding on berries, resting in shrubs, dropping down to catch worms, resting. It is unconcerned about the visiting public. Berries not as plentiful now, still looks settled though.

    Since a couple of weeks theres a Black-throated Thrush in a garden in the village of Scheemda. Last saturday I was in the region and went there to see this beauty.

    This bird has taken up residence in garden in Rothesay and has become quite a star as it is a real rarity coming from Taiga region of Russia!!

    On Saturday, this rarity was showing down to five metres. And all about a mile`s walk from my home!

    This rarity has turned up about a mile from where I live, so thought I`d better stroll along and take a look. It`s a bit far away for really good shots, so this is quite a big crop.
