The waders ie., black winged stilts, pond herons, sandpipers, lapwings and some ducks that had vanished during the monsoons have returned to the drain water pool post rain. So happy birding times are here again.
This snap was taken at a drain water pool on the city outskirts. There are, if I have counted correctly, 24 birds which include:-
Wood Sandpipers -14
Black Winged Stilts -9
Indian Pond Heron -1
I was watching these stilts jump around each other yesterday. It was easier following the action and getting a nice series with the Electronic Viewfinder of the Coolpix 8400. Neil.
