This Blackbird wasn't long in spotting that the neighbour's Rowan tree had ripe berries on it.
And I was lucky enough to spot him on the roof of the shed with the berry yet to be swallowed.

taken yesterday (I am having problems my pc keeps saying long script on the bird forum aint a clue what it means but its takes two or three goes to get on the forum all others web sites are fine so I will try and get your comments replied to)
A juvenile male.
The species is in the same genus as the meadowlarks. Like other meadowlarks, it is a bird associated with open country, including moist grasslands, pasture and cultivation, preferably with the odd bush or fence post for males to use as a songpost.
Sat on the garden fence this morning so just had to get a shot or two will catch up on comments during the day hope you all have a great day.( I got garden Jankers oh well thick coat on)
Saw this bird today at Sawgrass Lake Park in St. Petersburg, FL. In the binoculars and the photo, it appeared/appears to have a yellow eye ring and a yellow/light colored bill. The coloring also seems odd. Anyone have any thoughts on this bird? There are no grackles with light-colored bills...
