For those that don't know Jet is a jump in ballet, and this picture just reminded me of it.
He seems to be very happy with the food on offer that day.

All my regular visitors seemed to be around that first week home.
It wasn't to last, a month later and there were hardly any birds at all.
They're back now with a vengance LOL

Back to Gillian and Ian's house for lunch and I at last got a bit of time to get some pictures of their garden birds.
First up a handsome Blackbird, what else LOL

The following day we went to Lyndord Arboretum. Such a lovely estate and we spent some hours there wandering around.
First up we found this handsome Blackbird foraging in the leaf litter.
The following day was the last morning for my sister, so we thought we'd spend it exploring more of the Sculthorpe Moor reserve, as we'd not done the woodland walk bit, where there was another hide.
The green grass really shows Blackbirds off nicely, doesn't it.
This is the last photo of the injured Juvenile Blackbird. He had been eating, but after this shot he went into the bush on the left and has not been seen again.
He was obviously not going to recover and I hope his end was peaceful.
What's the title of that thread "Really busy at the feeder today"? LOL... well the feeders round that hide were really busy!
Next up a Blackbird cleaning up the droppings underneath. In the shade, so a bit dark.
Next a blackbird. Loads of them all around, but often hidden in thick foliage. I used manual focus to get past the foliage for this one. Manual focus on the fz200 is very slow and clumsy to use (at least, so I find). Luckily, the bird was patient with me ... or perhaps even unaware of me as...
