    Moustached Blue Tit.

An old cured rabbit skin I used some years ago for training gun dogs, I decided to put out onto the feeder to see what happened if the Sparrow Hawk came down. Instead this blue tit came to investigate. It first came close and gave a sharp peck at the skin jumping backwards in case this thing was...
  2. Full Fan.

    Full Fan.

What a difference a little bit of sunshine can make to a flight capture. Yesterday was a real struggle to get anything like this in very dull rainy weather. Tomorrow will be different again with snow in the forecast, only had snow here once in ten years, I look forward to the challenge. Brrrrrrr.

    Air Mail.

One of my favorite little birds. This cheeky Blue Tit can come in so fast and take a seed before most of the other birds can even see it.

    On Fire.

Over the last few years I have planted numerous berry bearing bushes, say that after a few drams, so now throw in some seed and wait for that photo opportunity. This one is in the Fire thorn.

    Bamboozled

Take two pieces of Bamboo, cut a slot in one of each segments to form a channel, pack with walnuts, the results can be both entertaining and capable of some great photos.
  18. Fluffed up.

    Fluffed up.

Could not resist this one, the wind coming from behind this Blue Tit fluffed up it's feathers.
  19. First Impressions.

    First Impressions.

Canon 7d2 with new 100 400 mkii and the reviews said it gave very sharp detail. Conditions again very dull and raining. Very pleased.
  20. Surprise.

    Surprise.

If you go down in the woods today be sure of a big surprise. Entertained by the local woodland birds today but they always make me smile.

    ISO. 4.000.

Again just a test of the 7d2 and pushing the iso. in this shot to much more than I would normally use. No chance of this with the previous model.
