We finally got some thrush action around the waterhole today, although the light was poor with drizzle. It gave the V1 and chance to shine on the 300/2.8 . It was nice to be able to shoot at 810 mm at f2.8, although getting the whole bird in the frame was a bit of a problem. Neil Nikon V1 plus...

I'm having fun with my new Kowa Lens/Scope system that I got for my birthday. In the garden everything is close and this a crop from a Nikon P7000 image which had some vignetting with the 25x LER eyepiece at wide zoom.

Not as regular a visitor as previous years when we used to see it daily. It got too close to me and I couldn't back up in the hide.

Sometimes he gets too close to the hide and the sound of the camera holds his attention.
