Bluebird

One field I visit has been full of juvenile Bluebirds all Summer, and I noticed groups hanging out at nest boxes. I assume they were siblings, and that may be the case here. f6.3 1/400 ISO 500

...couldn't resist this for the 4th. Watched this one sit with this worm for about 30 minuted in 100 degree heat before feeding the young.

.....my wife asked on Sunday had the Bluebird eggs hatched.......I think the answer is yes.... and hungry.

...sorry they were not here when you were, arrived back about 3 days after your visit. Just after a rain, wet and not too happy.

Shot from car window. Pulled over when I saw him next to the dirt road. I was able to get a couple of shots before he flew away. Lens at 400 mm. Used flash.

I took this today and noticed a strange look on their faces. Later I found that they had lost their brood. The last one was hanging out of the nesting box and looked as if something had killed it. The had three eggs and were pretty good about keep other birds away from the nest. I think I was...

Guess I deserve this look, taking photos when the feeder was empty on a frosty morning. After I saw this on the camera I filled up the feeder. That stern look did the trick.
