    One morning recently (certainly not today!) I watched this bluetit eat a peanut taken from one of the feeders. The spring sunlight was streaming through the trees.

    Yesterday I found a bluetits nest just below the hide window. In order to get in an out they had to stop on top of a hawthorne bush about 8 feet from where I was sitting.     Bluetit watching a stoat

    Top left is a bluetit watching a stoat! In fact there were about a dozen birds (great tits, wrens, a robin and a chiffchaff) in the tree watching and alarming at the stoat. Some were babies, probably learning to avoid this predator! It was really interesting to watch.
