At least four Brambling visited the Garden to-day 18" of Snow here so birds are getting desperate, I have been topping up the Feeders and keeping there Water clear to help them over this Harsh weather, Its very rewarding with well over a 100 birds visiting!

Managed an hour down the feeding station after work today,it was bleedin` freezing!

The numbers of these guys are increasing at my feeders now.I had 7 on the feeders/table plus about 20 in the trees above.The Beechmast must be running out for them.

appeared just as I was going to leave in very low light, 1250iso 1/60 f2.8 so reasonably pleased that i got one half sharp image

Had a phone call this afternoon off Valley Walker to say there was a Brambling at our feeding station.We havent had one down there for two years so I grabbed my gear and shot off down there.The bird came in straight away but the light was failing fast so had to use the flashgun.Cheers Al,lets...

The first one I have seen this autumn and it only stayed for a few seconds.

Absolutely chuffed to bits to have a flock of 6+ Brambling in the garden late this afternoon. I was so excited that every photograph I got was blurry - this is one of the best of them (which tells you how bad the photos are!). They're a gorgeous little bird that I've never seen before and...

This is the first time I've seen one of these beauties in my garden.

Not quite up to Ianf standard,but quite pleased with this as it was taken through double glazing.

The Snow plus Sunshine sure makes photography a bit easier, After weeks of gloom it a welcome change. Two Brambling yesterday the Male stayed on the ground refusing to pose but the Female(As usual) obliged! It must be my aftershave!

This has been a good year for Bramblings in my Garden paying Daily visits until I invited a Friend round to have a go by 12.30 we only saw a fleeting glipse of one , Ten minutes after he left Four appeared!!!
