Kindly perched very near the car I was hiding in. Lovely coloured and marked birds, but have been a bit thin on the ground this winter.

This lovely Male Brambling has been visiting my Garden since the Snow started

Be good to see & photograph these delightful birds again, they will soon return. Catch up later all, hospital appiontment this morning.

This was taken in the garden earlier this year, there were about ten of them in total and they always came with Chaffinches, they stayed with us for some weeks before going on there way, I hope they return again!

One from a few weeks ago. The Bramblings left Strumpshaw some time ago, to be replaced by singing Warblers. It was great to see these colourful winter visitors and I enjoyed my best ever views of them this year. I shall look forward to their return next winter. Ron

Almost full summer plumage,shame about the backdrop found a pool yesterday with lots of woodland birds coming to bathe and drink .will have to try removing some of the debris!.
