Brown-headed Cowbird (Molothrus ater ater) Juvenile male.

Brown-headed Gull (Chroicocephalus brunnicephalus) Breeding plumage. We spent two days in Buenos Aires before heading to Crdoba and then to northwest Argentina. We spent another day in Buenos Aires at the end of our trip. All three days in Buenos Aires were cold, windy and rainy.

It's taken me a couple of months to get a shot of this one. No sooner get focused and he flies off!!

A couple in marching in sore of the Manasarovar lake which is one of the biggest lake in such a high altitude.

These are not the most photogenic or colorful birds around and on a not too pleasing bg. But this lady came by, saw me with the camera and stayed on the feeder for about five minutes. The whole time she would eat just a little, and pose. This girl had more poses than a fashion model. She seemed...

These seem to be just black and brown. It is amazing some of the vibrant colors they have.

I did not realize that the Cowbird had as much blue color in its feathers.

I know these Cowbirds are not really looked upon with much favor but if do find them ocassionally photogenic.

Had the Nutties flocking around on one day....none the next. Guess they moved on me.

Pleanty of these around this morning.

Three Common Grackles sitting on this feeder when this Brown-headed Cowbird landed they acted like it was invading their space.
