    This juvenile bird was feeding along the edge of the runaway at Davidstow Airfield, Cornwall. I watched the birds movements for about an hour, I then parked my car about 50 yards ahead of the bird, and waited for it to walk to me!

    Some what unique in its habitat choosing. While most of the other sandpipers are running around boggy areas and ponds. These are one of the few that prefer the dry tundra ridges with more grass.

    Another American bird that I saw in Shetland there were a incredible Three birds at Eshaness a more Windswept place I have never visited, A Anchor would have been handy to stop my Tripod blowing over, But worth it what a Bonny Wee Wader.

    Got a call yesterday afternoon about this bird, after a 15 minute drive I was at the site - cracking little bird although quite flighty and difficult to get near to.
