three of them were quite far and on the rocks in shadow area, light was also low early in the morning, then two fly away but soon they come close and this one landed on this palm catching first ray of rising sun.

when i go to shore and take a position to wait for chances of shot, usually this one fly right at me so fast that i just don't have time even to raise the camera, LOL, yes i am a slow person. was glad to day that i saw it coming and it was not heading towards me directly so i managed some shot...
an early visit to the shore, resulted in many unusable high iso shots, only when the sun was up enough could get this shot, then i had to leave.
it was so busy in the beach, a nice active kingfisher, a pair of cormorants, many types herons as well as many little waders.

... well sort of LOL. A Striated Heron walked down the weir wall through some running water (like a waterfall) then came out into the open.
