After years of walking the country side I have never managed a perched Buzzard shot. Today I decided to have a walk around a residential area and industrial estate looking for winter thrushes. This guy turned up on a lamp post right outside of the local Sainsbury's supermarket.

I had a stroll around the spread yesterday morning, not a lot of action anywhere early on. We went out with folk and did the family thing, shops (I hate em) and had lunch, and came back to the ranch. I got meself set up in the area of the old dead tree, tucked...
