Below zero, incredible wind chill, and these Canadian Geese were just below the dam, swimming amongst the ice pads that were forming. If you look closely, you can see ice hanging off a couple of the geese. I have a shot of the ice pads that looks like white lily pads, pretty cool, but oh so cold!
I like this image cause I have both normal Geese and Sunday school geese in the same pic. Sunday school geese at right. I call them sunday school geese because this style reminds me of the old religious pics they hung at wall. Kind of muted colours.
Take this week end, close to our land in eastern township. When we arrive at the site, they are hundreds of those canada goose ready to start. I just wait batch after batch of lift-of to shoot burst of pictures.

The goslings are getting big enough that they venture away from their parents for short periods now. This one would swim quite aways away but always keep it's eye on where it's mom was.
