Perching amidst the thorns
This golden-crowned sparrow, one of many, was perching in thorny bushes alongside Emigrant Lake, in southern Oregon. They are year round residents here, handsome little birds. I really like his ferocious expression.- MiguelATF

Eurasian nuthatch
I love nuthatches a lot, but oh man this little guy was tough to photograph. They seem to have infinite energy and speed for hopping around a tree in just the way to evade my camera. Its all worth it tough, and I really like this photo :)- Alvaenerle
