The window feeder brings at least six different species of birds up close and personal. I NEVER thought it would really work!

    Carolina Chickadee

I’ve been trying for weeks to get a shot of this adorable bird. But, I finally got a few yesterday! Full disclosure: I’m not 100% certain that it’s a Carolina Chickadee and not a Black Capped Chickadee. But based on how thin the white lines on its wings are, and the fact that (according to the...

  9. Confrontation

House Finch was trying to poke its head in the nest box containing Chickadees and the parent was not letting it happen. The next day the parent sent the fledglings out so I guess it was trying to get them out on their own to grow up quicker :)

Gathering nesting material. I've got two of these guys checking out one of my bluebird houses. They have been back and forth to it, I guess checking that the carpet is clean and the walls an appropriate color! ;o) Not going to make the bluebirds happy. Could have a legal battle on their...

I've been trying for awhile to get a nice photo of a chickadee. This may be a winner. The pose is perfect.

    Lifer 1 today: How the H ...?

This Carolina Chickadee has his whole upper body twisted nearly 180 degrees around :eek!: You can see his right foot hanging onto the moss under the branch. You can see his wing-tips forming a V over the base of his tail. So we're looking at him from below and behind, but that's his chest with...
