carrion crow

Some corvids from my Scottish trip.

One really has to admire these birds.So solitary.I know of 2 areas where there is always just 1 bird to be seen,I often wonder ,where is the partner. Took this shot in the late evening sun,as the bird is looking across a field,so an uncluttered background ,for a change!!!

A Crow about to take off.

This Carrion Crow decided to finish off its meal of what looked like the remains of a baby bird right in front of me.

When this Crow picked up this snail I imagined him beating it against the nearest rock but he spent a good 5 mins delicately picking out the contents, not as clever as we think!!

Common Crows seem to quite common on the beach.

I'm not so good at in flight shots yet.

I'm not sure if this a bird on a stick or bird in a landscape pic. I hope you like it. Not sure if it's rain or snow either :)

Common but not very approachable.

This bird still doesn't look quite like a normal Crow to me. It was more of a size and shape for a Jackdaw.

Considering their size, the Crow family are surprisingly difficult to approach.
