I know where these live now, so it's just a matter of waiting for one to hop-up onto a branch to sing or preen. Although I'm often watching other birds or Foxes when a Cetti's bursts into song.
Anyway, from yesterday morning. The Smog gave a very "muddy" light, so I've still not...
I spent an hour at my local reservoirs this morning, and found another one of these ;)
Not great light, and I kept my distance, so a heavy crop. Maybe a little clearer than the one I uploaded the day

The Cetti's Warblers there are a bit more showy than the ones I NEVER see in The UK.. this particular bird must've just woken up (like me!) as, in the still semi-dark, it didn't seem like it wanted to go anywhere despite me pointing my lens at it..
Another bird more often heard than seen, got lucky this time and managed a couple of shots on its brief appearance, pity about the reed but I'm not complaining.
Out in the open for once! Made my day I can tell you. The sound of the shutter firing seemed to intrigue him, and he popped out for a look around.
I could tell he was close from the call, deafening me at close quarters, so I stepped back from the hedge and hoped...
