Found this little gem on our outing yesterday with local bird club members. We also found fresh moose tracks in the mud on the trail where we saw this fellow. Did not see moose.
I was about to call it a day when this lifer landed in a tree about 30 meters from me. Managed to get the camera out of the car and got off one handheld shot before it flew off.
Her English isn't so good, but she is "pleased, pleased, pleased to meetcha"--at least that is what her song says (actually I think her song is different from the male).
