...well, making a noise that people call "singing"|=)|
A few of these singing at the Reservoirs, and I found this one as it was singing at the top of a tree. A bit of a crop, but it's the first that I've caught singing this year.
BTW, this bird continued to sing while the Kestrel was...
I spent some time at the weekend trying to get some clear of shots of the Blackcaps that have turned up over the last week or so but failed miserably as they skulked in the bushes the whole time but I had considerably better success with a couple of Chiffchaffs who were having a territory dispute.
Had a few hours around Beegraigs country park this morning, The woodpeckers are drumming away the woods is alive with bird song, what more could you ask for.
i keep on hearing them, finally i saw one, but not this, as this shot is from last year.
usually they winter the region, but this year i did not see them in the past 2 month.
Hope you like it.

Taken this afternoon, just outside my house, during the only sunny spell .. nothing special, I just liked the moody effect of outofocus leaves in the foreground.
I'll be watching the garden today, if it stays Sunny, as the Magpies are back in numbers. They're great birds to watch, as you can't predict what they'll do next.
Loads of these at the Reservoirs on Sunday. Using the extra reach of the FZ45, and using the teleconverter, allowed me to stay further back, so they ignored my presence. Obviously they knew that I was there, but they were less nervous.
