The result of setting the sunflower container down while filling the feeders and not keeping an eye on it.

Thought I'd throw in an image of this cute little chipmunk just for some variety.

I heard a series of birdlike chirps coming from my van. I walked over to take a look and here was this guy, poised on the front tire like this, and chirping away steadily. You can see I caught his cheeks slightly puffed out in mid chirp. I believe its a type of alarm or territorial vocalization...

Had him in a cute pose, and just as I was depressing the shutter button, he decided to run TOWARD me to see if I had any sunflower seeds for him! lol

Saw the expression on the chipmunk's face in the 2nd photo so I just had to put these two shots together like this. lol

SAT FUN. A chipmunk, and a peanut. Nothing else needs be said. lol!

Love having these guys around. They always manage to be cute no matter what they're doing.

We have 3 chipmunks at our office and we make sure they have something to eat. This little one was shoving his peanuts into his mouth, running to his hole in the ground, storing it and kept coming back for more, over and over again. They are adorable!

I came outside and saw one of my tame chipmunks stuck in the birdfeeder! I don't think he was in there for long. He was trying so hard to get the seeds that he crawled right through the slots. He wasn't that startled at my approach. I set the feeder on the ground and he crawled back out of the...

This chipmunk, who I have nicknamed Chip,( original, huh? lol) regularly steals sunflower seeds that I sprinkle on the ground for the birds that don't take to the feeders. I'd get angry at him but...well...just look at how cute he is! .

You don't see these two in the same shot very often! Usually when ol Chip jumps up onto the feeding platform, all the birds on it scatter. However, this Jay wasn't so easy to scare off! This is one of those photos I have to decide if it belongs in the bird part of the gallery, or the wildlife...

This is the remaining young member of a family that had a den in my wife's herb bed. I watched the female prepare the den. This little guy was trying it out. The other young one was killed by a crow right in front of the den.

I found this chipmunk in upstate New York.

The way this guy shimmies up this feeder pole shows it is time too grease the pole!

As last year back with youngsters raiding the feeders. This one was taking a break with a full belly!
