    Back from our trip out west. The first of several lifers. Split from Chestnut Quail-thrush in 2015.

    A lovely male in breeding plumage. Interestingly the black front is actually a dark iridescent blue colour similar to the Jabiru Stork and the Blue-breasted Fairy-wren.It is only visible when the sun shines on it as it does here.
