A nice surprise at the end of a birding day on the Quiberon peninsula. I didn't expect to find this bunting where it was ,so close to the coastal path, just above a beach. It wasn't easy focusing on the bird as the twigs round it kept swaying in the wind.I took quite a few shots as I moved round...
My SF image. I was walking along the coastal path when I realized ,too late, that there were two small birds on the fence ahead . I took a shot just before they flew off and I didn't have time to focus properly. The fence post is quite sharp though.

I bussed it to Broadsands on monday and managed to catch up with these handsome rare birds. A pity about the poor light, but it was good to see these super birds again.
