collared dove

Another shot of a Collared Dove in the park.

Went for a walk through Alexandra Park yesterday, really knackered myself out. Several birds about, but not too easy to get shots of most of em. This dove was quite co-operative, and gave me a couple of nice poses.

This little begger got me up at 5:30am this morning, so I thought the least he could do was pose for me!!

are going to get together and make babies, then we need a bigger house!

I tried to post this pic several times on thursday, but it wouldn't work, so I am hoping it works now. Before we left home, we took a wreath to the churchyard where Hazel's parents are at rest. I spotted this Collared Dove fly up onto an old gravestone, but I couldn't get a clean shot of it, so...

on my favourite fir ! there are numerous to come to see me this winter. The weather is cold and they are hungry.
