This is one of the young Collared Doves which were reared in the trees bordering my garden this year. I just missed a great shot of it being fed by the parent as, just as I was about to take the shot, I realized that the image stabilization was switched off. By the time I had turned it on again...
.....now where have I heard that before? This young Collared Dove crashed into the front of the hide and sat there, stunned on the ground, for absolutely ages.

As a newbie to Birds, during the summer I have seen pairs of collared doves in the garden. This picture the markings are so prevalent so I am assuming it's a young bird - can the experts help?
I hope to get a real DSLR sometime but this was taken with the Canon Powershot Pro 1 and Teleconverter.
