Had a great time at Lake Tkern last weekend despite the fact that it was very windy most of the time. It was raining when we arrived but sunny when we left.
This is the closest I've been to a Common Buzzard in flight.
There was a Buzzard nest close to the hotel and this adult was calling to the youngsters in the nest and vice versa. Took a while to find the adult. The fledglings left the nest just before we returned home but I didn't get any good pictures.
When taking photos I usually find myself further from the bird than I wish. This time I was closer so I could not get the image of the whole bird. The reason I kept the photo and even shared it is the detailed image of this Common Buzzard plumage.
This one's for Margaret who I know is very fond of Buzzards.

The sunny spring day made even the raptors more friendly with the photographer. This Common Buzzars let me take as many photos as I wished as log as I did not get too close.
