First Grackle of the Spring. Usually I gauge the coming of Spring by the appearance of American Robins, but this winter the Robins stayed around, so guess it's Grackle Season this time.
This Grackle seems to have missed his flight south for the winter. It is a common bird here in central Alberta in summer but should not be here in winter. Has been hanging around my house all winter. Photo taken through a window.
