A couple of days later we checked for the feeders, but still none. So we drove on up the Glen heading towards Glenshee, but turned off onto the Tullymurdoch road across the moor where we'd explored the previous day out.

May you have a very birdy 2020, with great sightings and shots to share, even if the birds try to hide from you, like this one in Otterspool Park (when I took the long route via the river in to town).
This Moorhen had been preening, after which s/he maintained her/his stretch pose much longer than usual (at least in my experience). Morning yoga including a long salute-to-the-sun position?
There were a handful of grebes among all the coots and ducks and swans - Great Cresteds and at least one Little - but they were not very cooperative. This Moorhen, however, posed nicely.
This image was taken in Vondelpark in Amsterdam. it's interesting that they are very friendly and are not afraid of people at all and allow to approach them. One of them took a slice of bread from my hand, great to see this
It's always nice to see these guys swimming across the water especially when they're within reach of my lens LOL.
