    Ringed Plovers in Belgium--Geer

Hello, I have some severely cropped photos of two distant Common/Little Ringed Plovers. Are they IDable to species? I believe the single bird in plover_f is the same individual that is in the background in the other photos. Photos taken 16th August 2023 in Geer, Belgium.

I was so happy to be able to film one of these Ringed Plovers in September 2022 a few hours before sunset at the Zingst beach shore.

The plovers didn't seem all that nervous about us sitting there in the grass, screened a bit but far from invisible. They did, however, keep an eye on the sky in case of predators from above. The worms, meanwhile, seemed oblivious to the threat from their "above" ... or, well, who knows what...

Another sit-and-wait-for-them occasion. A friend and I sat in the tall grass with just a narrow strip of beach between us and the mudflats as the tide came in, pushing ahead of it a flock of 6 Common Ringed Plovers taking a meal break on their southward migration. They came closer, and closer...
