Taken same day as the Sandwich Tern shots, caught this little un scurrying along the surf.

Apologies for the title :) Again, another new pic of a bird, that i'd seen before, but never managed to capture. Was quite easy to locate, as they tended to 'call' from the loch side...which helps, as if they'd been quiet, would never have know they were there

I just think there is that feeling of remoteness that conveys his habitat, just my humble opinion.

He was doing his best to lure me away from his nest site piping for all his worth, a lovely sound, and succeeding.

took this on friday,nice sunny day ,it was sat on rock,in the middleof river calder.

Taken,yup you guessed it,whilst walking the dog this evening. Not very approachable this one and I had to resort to using the teleconvertor.

I took about 200 shots of this bird as it cirmnavigated three tiny islands (always in an anticlockwise direction). This is the only one of printable quality.

A bit small.. But this is a good start. ;)

I dont normally do waders (dont like lying in mud LOL!) but made an exception with this one.He was just sat on the rock without a care in the world whilst I was walking the dog.I like the perch and colours in this one.

This local sandpiper keeps coming back to this boat throughout the day.
